2 month progress report

I am happy to report that we have been smooth sailing along, and no crazy stories to report! The craziest thing is i guess how much she has "filled out" (as people so kindly say, haha).  She is definitely our lil chunky nugget!
It's been so long since i have had time to actually sit and write, but i have compiled notes, and debating whether to elaborate on everything!  I'll be brief...
-She had her 2 month Dr. appointment and she was 14 pounds: 98% in weight 89% height and 56% head size..  little head on chubby body...that's okay, she'll be able to crawl and walk easier, haha.   Landri has pretty much been gaining a pound a week, give or take.  That's some aggressive weight gain and i was a bit ...not worried or concerned, just not sure that's too normal!  I had been feeding her every time she got fussy, but we gave in and gave her the pacifier, which helped cut down her eating..  Giving the pacifier about killed me!  I'm not an advocate of the thing, and i cried a few times at first.  ...saddened me that i couldn't console her, but realized it wasn't me, she just wanted to suck.  She has cut down using it, doesn't use at all during day and we only use it if we are out and it's getting close to her bedtime, so i'm okay with it..  We don't have any nicknames for the pacifier either, haha.
-She is smiling more and more every day, her first grins started at about 6 weeks, and just melt my heart everytime i get a good smile with some bubbles followed with a 'grrrrrrrr'!  Her most favorite spot in the house is on her changing table!, as you see many of the photos are taken from there!  I'm sure she knows she's about to be clean, but also there is plenty to look at!  I have a mobile, pictures on the wall, and the window is right there as well.  She's closer to my face, so we get lots of talk time in too!  (Shon is amazed how i never shut up with her, he'll hear me all over the house just talking away to Landri! haha)
-Landri's legs are pretty strong too, she definitely has enough 'meat' on them to hold her up!  Shon has many dance moves they do together and she loves to be upright standing.
-She also loves to be outside!  That is an instant calmer downer!  We will sit outside and swing on the porch
swing for up to an hour sometimes!  Not sure what we're going to do come winter, sit at the window?! ha
-She is pretty much sleeping through the night as well!  The timing was excellent, as i started back to work full time, she was sleeping better!  She at least sleeps 6 hours in a row, but also is good about getting 8 or 9 hours in!  Makes Mamma happy, since i have to get 8 hours in as well!
-I started back to work, working from home at about 6 weeks, then started taking her with me to the office until i went back to work full time at 10 weeks.  I would get some work done at home in the morning before she woke up then we would go in to the office in the afternoons, when she would go down for her long 3 hour nap.  I also had 2 other helpers; my bosses to lend a helping hand!
-So Landri is now in her 2nd week of daycare and it's going smoothly! ...and i'm doing good too, haha.  I actually have no problem dropping her off...(is that bad?!).  BUT i sure am excited to pick her up and squeeze all her little fat rolls!!   I drop her off at 9:00 and Shon picks her up most days by 5:00, so she's there the minimum amount of time we can allow.  We are having to put her to bed earlier now since she's more stimulated during the day, (hence the time i now have to update the blog!).  They go for walks and to the park, etc.  She is in a licensed home daycare, with 7 total kiddos.  She is the youngest so gets lots of love and attention!
-We are getting her out and about more too.  I still haven't taken her any kind of 'shopping' with me, just don't wanna deal with it quite yet.  That's my get-away time on the weekends.  But we go to Shon's outdoor volleyball games and to our friend's houses, have been to dinner a couple of times.  I have started playing volleyball again too.  It's difficult managing our game times, but we make it work.  Uncle Eric & Aunt Jess help watch her too.
-We are excited about going up to Idaho first of December for Shon's Mom to meet Landri for the first time!  She will be 4 months.
-Overall Landri is an excellent happy baby!  We couldn't be more blessed!

I will post many new photos next! Enjoy.

Love, Elaine, Shon & Landri
